 is 60 wins to high?
« Thread Started on Oct 30, 2009, 6:52am »

I think the spurs can win 60 this season. They have probably one of the best starting 5 in the game, with only a lack of another Big Man. We have RJ, and Manu, Tony, and Timmy. and think about it, we have a very VERY Deep bench, I would not be surprised, if we are healthy down the stretch in April to see us get to the WCF and play LA to get to the Finals, nad possibly over match them. This could be one for the Thumb!!!

The Spurs have the 2nd best team in the West but Popovich is known to rest his starters down the stretch so 60 wins might be a little too high so 55 wins might be more realistic...

I don't see anybody in the West getting past the Lakers unless Kobe tears out an ACL...

My Suns window has already closed.. The best I can hope for is a 7th or 8th seed and be one and done..

Anything beyond that exceeds my expectations..

I feel your pain brother! My 76ers are at best a .500 team give or take two games. Sad thing is, with a little luck the east is so weak that they could be as high as a 5th seed. If they get the right 4th seed, they COULD possibly win their opening round. But a lot of ifs and luck are required to achieve that little.

But they have the pieces around them to build on. We have a young SG in Williams. We have a young PG to build around in Holliday. We have a swingman in his prime in Iguodala. We have a young SF/PF in Thaddeus Young. We finally have a young big in Speights who shows glimpses. Holliday to me is the key cause as you have seen with Nash, a good PG can make the entire team better.

Spurs and 60 wins, chris? What have you been smoking??

First consider the age of this team. McDyess, Duncan, and Finley all start and are OLD! Finley should retire. Your 6th man, Manu, is 32, and cant stay healthy.

Lets see...Duncan is another year older and NOT better. Parker is good when he wants to be. Blair looks like a nice player but he is a year or so away.

Minus Gooden and Oberto and add McDyess and Blair and you look like the same team as last year only a year older. Oh by the way, That team last year won 54 games. So based on that, a 54 or 55 win season is realistic. So I'd set your goals at 50 and then be ecstatic with 55!
