Going to try and put together seven picks each week of college and pro games.
Here are my seven picks for this week:
1) Georgia Tech plus 6 over Miami: I like what Miami is doing but Tech may be the best in the ACC. 6 is too many in what should be a back and forth game. Take Tech and the points!
2) Georgia plus 1.5 over Arkansas: Arkansas is horrible against Georgia and worse against ranked SEC teams. They shouldnt be favored anywhere against Georgia. Take Georgia and the points!
3) Texas A&M minus 18 over Utah State: Texas is tough at home and Utah is a bad team. A&M has no problem running up scores so give the points and look for a 40 point win!
4) Boston College plus 7 over Clemson: Clemson hasnt been good in a while. Boston College always competes. BC wins this outright so enjoy the points as insurance!
5) New England minus 3.5 over Jets: Bill will throw some surpsises at the rookie qb. The Jets arent that good and the Pats arent that mediocre. That Jets secondary can be exploited. So lay the points and bet on Brady!
6) Tennessee minus 6.5 over Houston: Houston always struggles early and going to tennessee for their opener is NOT the answer for their woes. Titans in a rout! Give the points!
7) Seattle plus 1.5 over 49ers. Seattle wont be caught surprised by the 49ers. They will pound Hill and win this outright. Take seattle with the 1.5.
There you have it! Good luck Rattler!

My weekly TD started out horrible as I went 1-3 today. Ughhh....
Texas A&M won but didnt cover. Georgia Tech and Boston College both lost big and failed to cover. Only Georgia kept beating Arkansas and didnt need the points.
1-3 for the week puts my college record at 6-6... I should have went with the other games I pondered. I liked Michigan State, Florida State, and Tenn and backed off! Doah!
Hoping for better tomorrow...

Trying for seven again after an ugly week last week. Way too many upsets that I just had to pick. It wasnt pretty.
This week I only found two college games. Here are my seven picks:
1) Oregon plus six over Cal: Too many points to give the home team. Too many points to give the team that has had Cals number. Take the Ducks and 6!
2) Oregon State minus 2.5 over Arizona. Oregon State is simply better and wont lose at home.
3) Giants minus 6 over Tampa Bay: The Bucs are struggling and are a bad team. This spread should be bigger.
4) Pittsburgh minus 3.5 over Cincy: The Bengals arent that good. The Steelers will rebound after a tough loss.
5) Tennessee plus 3 over the Jets: Jets are better than I thought but no way the titans start 0-3. They flat out win so take the points!
6) Buffalo plus 6.5 over the Saints. Saints might win this but they wont cover. Its too many points to give up.
7) Oakland plus 2 over Denver: Denver isnt that good to be favorite on the road. The Raiders defense is simply better and will earn the outright win.
There you have it! Good luck all!

Ok...I sure wouldnt bet on my own picks so I hope nobody else is so stupid! Here I go rebounding off two weeks in a row of bad times!
Here are my picks this week:
1) Penn State minus seven over Illinois- Illinois has health issues and Penn State should come in fired up. Road or not...take Penn State
2) Miami plus 8 over Oklahoma: Bradford isnt playing and Miami was geared up for this game last week. Miami may not win but they wont get blown out at home. Take the points and you may be rewarded with an outright win!
3) Colorado State minus 3 over Idaho: Neither team is very good but Colorado State should be able to win this one!
4) Auburn plus 2.5 over Tennessee: Tennessee may have a great defense but they also have one of the worst qbs in the NCAA. Auburn is a damn good squad! Take the points and the upset!
5) Michigan plus 3.5 over Michigan State: A rivalry game but Michigan has the better team, better qb, and coach. Take the Wolverines!
6) San Diego plus seven over Pittsburgh: The Steelers are without Polamalu and may not even have Willie Parker. Pittsburgh MAY win but it wont be by this many! Take the Chargers and the points and you may get that outright win again!
7) Miami plus 1.5 over Buffalo: someone care to explain how Buffalo is favorite in this game? Miami wins this at home outright!
There you have it! Good luck to the others plowing through this!

3-2 in the college game yesterday. Called the Miami and Auburn upsets correctly. Then I pegged the Penn State game. I countered with losses to Michigan and Colorado State. Who would think Idaho could win??? 3-2 makes me 10-9 for the season in the NCAA.
Now if I can just start turning around my dismal record in the pros! Yuck...

the NFL was less kind to me again. I won with the upset of Miami over Buffalo. Called the outright win there correctly. I failed though with the San Diego plus 7 over Pittsburgh game. I had it late until a last second FG.
1-1 on the day wasnt good enough...

I need to recover some in the pro game. Sad thing is, Im not doing that bad at fanpool. Maybe I need to pick every NFL game?? The ones I am most sure about, I lose!
Odds this week off of espn.com
Here are my seven picks this week:
1) Baltimore -2.5 over Cincy... I havent been buying what the Bengals have been selling! Only 2.5 spread?? That is saying that on neutral turf, the Bengals would be favorite! Hell no!
Take the Ravens and give the 2.5
2) Atlanta +2.5 over San Francisco: Falcons have had a bye to get ready for this and I dont like Hill. Throw out Gore and I see some issues. Falcons outright win!
Take the Falcons plus 2.5 in the upset!
3) Patriots over Denver in pick em. Denver isnt an unbeaten team. Pats wont let it continue even though neither team is as good as their record.
Take the Pats in a pick em!
4) Seattle Pickem over Jags: Long travel and the return of Hasselbeck should be enough!
Take seattle in a pickem at home!
College picks off vegasinsider.com:
5) Tennessee in pickem over Georgia: Only the Hilton has this as a pickem. I dont like Georgias offense versus the Vol Defense. At home, Tenn finally wins! Take the Vols here!
6) Wisconsin plus 16 over Ohio State! The Badgers are a solid team and should keep this close. Not predicting an upset but 16 is way too many here. Take the Badgers and the points!
7) Last pick and Im going with Michigan plus 8.5 over Iowa. Iowa doesnt have the offense to blow out anyone let alone a good team like Michigan. Take the wolverines!
There you have it! Good luck to the other two playing!

I went 2-1 in the college game to pocket some cash! At least my college picks are doing well...
I correctly picked the Tennessee defeat of Georgia...
I then lost the pick of Wisconsin over Ohio State. The 16 points werent quite enough.
I finished the night as Michigan lost to Iowa but covered the spread.
I now sit 12-10 for the season in college ball.

Another 2-2 week for NFL action... You always lose a few bucks that way...
I didnt buy Cincy for real and I paid for it. Bengals won in Baltimore in emotional fashion...
Atlanta and Seattle ouright won as I predicted.
Finally my day was sent to a push as Denver beat the Pats in OT.

My college picks are decent this year while my pro picks are forgettable. This week I try and right the ship. To aid in the hope, I found nine games to give a bonus two.
All odds found on www.vegasinsider.com
Here are the games:
1) Cincy -1 over South Florida- Cincy is the better team and has played the tougher schedule. Dont buy the hype of USF just off a win over Fla State.
2) Va Tech -3 over Georgia Tech- Va Tech is the real deal and Ga Tech simply isnt. Va Tech rolls.
3) Oklahoma State -7 over Missouri- Missouri was finally exposed by Nebraska. Oklahoma state is better than Nebraska.
4) Cal -3.5 over UCLA: Neither team is what they thought they would be. Cal is the better team though.
5) South Carolina +18.5 over Alabama- Spurrier wont win but will keep it close.
the NFL:
1) Houston plus 6 over Bengals- The Bengals are good but unfortunately the Texans always keep it close. Houston may outright win but will easily cover.
2) St Louis plus 10 over the Jags- Both teams suck but should anyone be favorite by ten??? Take the points.
3) Baltimore plus 3 over Minnesota- Ravens outright win as they have the better defense.
4) Arizona plus 3 over Seattle: Arizona is the better team and dont forget it. Seattle's defense is a mess. Cardinals outright win here.
There you have it! Good luck!

A great week this week! We won some money at last! Even in the pros! I started out 12-10 in the NCAA and 7-11 in the Pros.
In the college games:
1) I started out early with Cincy -1 over USF on Thursday. Even after losing losing their starting qb, Cincy rolled to an easy win.
RESULT: Win and 1-0
2) Next I took Va Tech over Ga Tech. Va Tech played a tough game and in the end lost outright. I was giving a FG.
RESULT: Loss and 1-1
3) Cal -3.5 over UCLA: Cal rolled to an easy win over UCLA covering.
RESULT: Win and 2-1
4) South Carolina +18.5 over Alabama- Was worried about this one but SC kept it close losing 20-6 but covering!
RESULT: Win and 3-1
5) Lastly I went with Okla State -7 over Missouri. The Cowboys were close early but poured it on at the end to cover easily.
RESULT: Win and 4-1
OVERALL: 16-11 for the season and winning money! Rattler, my college picks are better than Colin Cowherd!
Now to the pros!
1) I started off with Houston plus 6 over Cincy. I even predicted an outright win and was rewarded with a rout of the Bengals on the road!
RESULT: Win and 1-0
2) Next I went with St Louis plus 10 over the Jags! Now way the Jags should ever be double digit favorites over any team! Sure enough it took OT to win. Luckily I didnt predict the outright win!
RESULT: Win and 2-0
3) The next one was tougher. I took Baltimore plus three over the Vikes. I predicted an outright win and was almost right. Luckily the points counted.
RESULT: Win and 3-0
4) Finally I wrapped up a perfect weekend of NFL action with Arizona plus three over Seattle. I predicted another dog to outright win! I was rewarded as Arizona cruised to a win!
RESULT: Win and 4-0!
OVERALL: I was 8-1 for the weekend and now sit at 11-11 in the pros! After my horrible start, I will take it! That would mean losing money but gotta start somewhere!
Good luck to the others!

After a great 8-1 week and some great food after to celebrate, I am back for more!
All odds are from vegasinsider.com.
Here are the ones I found this week:
1) Kansas plus 8.5 over Oklahoma: Oklahoma probably wont have Bradford and Kansas should be fired up for this. Not sure who wins but it will be close. Take Kansas and the points!
2) Oregon State plus 21 over USC: Oregon State always gives USC fits and just because they can beat OSU and Notre Dame...doesnt mean they are back. Not predicting an outright win but 21 is was too many. Take Oregon State and the points!
3) Alabama minus 14.5 over Tennessee: Tennessee's offense is horrible and Alabama is just too good at home. I see a 35-3 game here.
4) San Diego minus four over Kansas City: KC is just one of the worst teams in the league and the perfect remedy for what ails SD.
5) Atlanta plus 4 over Dallas: Dallas just isnt the better team in this matchup. Take Atlanta and the points!
There you have it! Good luck!

Well I couldnt repeat last week's action but at least bumbled my way to keep my records more or less in tact.
Colleges saw me go 1-2 as
1) Kansas was routed by Oklahoma. Despite getting 8.5 they couldnt cover. RESULT: Loss and 0-1
2) I then went with Oregone state plus 21 over USC. They didnt get the outright win but easily covered 42-36. RESULT: Win and 1-1
3) I then went with alabama -14.5 over Tennessee. Alabama never got its rushing game going and had to withstand a last second FG to avoid the outright win. RESULT: Loss and 1-2
I now sit at 17-13 for the season in College picks.
To the pros...
1) I went with San Diego minus 4 over KC: This one was never close as the Chargers destroyed the Chefs. RESULT: Win and 1-0
2) I then finished with the Falcons plus four over Dallas. Congrats to the Dallas Brass who got a much needed win. Dallas even covered the spread easily. RESULT: Loss and 1-1
I end up the pros at 12-12 for the season after this week.
Good luck to the other two!

Picking a few more pro games this week to try and put up a winning record there. Found a few games to make my weekly TD this time.
All odds found on vegasinsider.com. SBCglobal.com had the Rams 9.5 spread.
1) Oklahoma State plus 10 over Texas: I think this is the year that the elite three dont look as good. To make Ok State a ten point dog at home is an insult. This is close and maybe even an upset. Take state and the points.
2) South Carolina plus 6.5 over Tennessee: Tennesse isnt this good even at home. SC is the better team and keep this close. Not promising a win but you might just see it. Take the points and coast to a win!
3) Oregon plus 3 over USC: USC barely got by Oregon State at home and this is the better team from Oregon. Oregon flat out wins this one. The FG is insurance!
4) Minnesota plus 3 over Green Bay: Favre wont let them lose. He is still out for vengeance regardless what lies he says. Take the points and get an outright win!
5) Miami plus 3.5 over the Jets: Sanchez is still making too many mistakes. Miami is playing well. Miami outright wins here! Take the points!
6) St Louis plus 9.5 over Detroit: I was going to pick the rams plus 4.5. They are due for a win. Jackson is quietly rushing for nice yards and will be a monster here. Then I saw one off book spread listed at 9.5! Bet the house on this one! Rams outright win! with 9.5 its like taking candy from a baby.
7) Atlanta plus 10.5 over New Orleans: The saints look great but despite the Falcons bad showing last week, they arent that bad. The Falcons will rebound and play well. Think they still fall short but will easily cover this 10.5 spread.
There you have it! Good luck all!

Not a bad week afterall as I am now winning in both sports... Better yet I picked all underdogs which are always satisfying!
1) Saturday saw me go 1-2 as won with Oregon over USC but lost with South Carolina and Oklahoma State. At least none were close.
OVERALL 1-2 for the week but now sit at 18-15 for the year... 55%
2) Sunday and monday were the pros where I was sitting at .500.
I corrected that bigtime!
I went 4-0 this week and made us some money as I won with Minnesota plus points over GB, Atlanta plus the points over NO, Miami plus the points over Jets, and St Louis plus the points over detroit. All were dogs and all but Atlanta won outright! Atlanta covered though which was good enough!
OVERALL: 4-0 and 15-11 for the year! 58%
Not too bad now... Its a start!
Good luck all!

Back on track and looking to add on to my winnings. Looks like a tougher week though so couldnt go for a TD. Going instead with 5 games.
Here are the ones I found:
1) South Carolina plus 7 over Arkansas: SC is the better team and doesnt deserve this. Take the points and enjoy the outright win by Spurriers boys!
2) LSU and Alabama under 40.5: Both teams are struggling offensively but have great defenses. Not even sure both teams score half that number!
3) Penn State and Ohio State under 40! Might see similar games. Thinking more like 30 total in this game!
4) Vandy and Florida over 48! Florida may get this total themself!
5) San Diego plus 5.5 over NY Giants: Giants arent playing that well and SD should keep this close. Not calling for an outright win but wouldnt be surprised. Chargers easily battle and cover this against a tore up Giants defense and hurt QB.
Good luck!

Another winning week as I keep bringing home the dough. A little tougher this week though.
1) College ball saw me go 2-2 as SC was crushed by Arkansas as Spurrier looks to disappoint again. Florida and Vandy didnt manage to reach the over and fell well short. I won though with unders in the Ohio state-Penn State and Alabama-LSU games. Both were closer than I thought but a win is a win!
OVERALL: 2-2 for the week and 20-17 for the season.
2) The NFL action is where I have been hot of late. This week I went 1-0 as San Diego outright beat the Giants and didnt even need the 5.5 points!
OVERALL: 1-0 for the week and 16-11 for the season!
Not bad at all!
Good luck all!
